About the Show
Sean Griffin is a Northeast rock veteran who spent 25 years fronting the Irish punk band The Ruffians, logging more than 2,000 shows and sharing stages with Black 47, Gaelic Storm, and Enter the Haggis. A conservatory-trained musician out of SUNY Purchase, he's now touring behind his solo debut, recorded in Catskill, NY with Grammy-winning producer Kenny Siegel and mastered by the legendary Greg Calbi. Black 47's Larry Kirwan has called him "a twenty-first century Joe Jackson." At The Speakeasy, Griffin performs solo — punk rock pedigree in a listening-room setting. The evening opens with a set from Wilmington's own Ian Campbell.
